How the Business Works
Good Libations is not a wine store or a winery; hence, we cannot sell bottled products. Each wine that you order is considered to be your own project. We can help, but you have certain obligations that we are not allowed to circumvent:
(1) You must be there, in person, to start your wine. You may not place an order over the phone or the internet.
(2) You are required to sign an order and pay for it at the same time (credit card, debit card, cash, or cheque).
(3) You must be present to bottle your wine.

We are located at the old seafood plant on Hansen Road. Our business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons from noon to 5:30.
RED & WHITE WINES
Cru Select – This is our European style wine. The flavours are more complex and subtle, but ageing is necessary for it to be at its best. The Cru Select wines each have a country or locale name attached to the type, e.g Australian Shiraz.
En Primeur – Elegance defined. Borne of unprecedented research and development, and most importantly, a passionate love of wine.
SEASONAL WINES
These are wines that we make from scratch, not a kit. These include Rhubarb Champagne (our number one best selling wine!) and Mead, a honey wine (we usually offer six or eight different kinds). Other types are offered from time to time. A full batch is 31 bottles but we also do group projects where each person would receive five bottles.
WINE FROM YOUR OWN FRUIT
A large part of our business is making wine from people’s own fruit. It can be from your own garden (plum and raspberry are the most popular) or from wild fruit (Cortes abounds with wild [organic] blackberries!). We also makea lot of apple cider from local apples.
DESSERT & SPECIALTY WINES
We carry Port, Sherry, Ice Wine, Champagne and other select dessert wines from time to time. A full batch is 31 bottles but we also do group projects where each person would receive five bottles.
APPLE CIDER
We make apple cider from fresh Cortes apples available seasonally.
BEER
Designed for those with a taste for micro-brewed beers. These are all-grain worts (unfermented beer), not extracts or concentrates, and are produced in a German style brewery. There are no additives of any kind. We have a complete list with the types of beer available with descriptions. Makes about 68 bottles (341ml)
